SSO Presentation Report on a WHARPDRIVE Incident

Special Source Operations' (SSO) slides reporting WHARPDRIVE access point was discovered by commercial consortium personnel, requiring an appropriate cover story and destruction of any associated evidence. As a result of this breach, data collection and agent training and deployment were delayed at the request of the corporate partner. WHARPDRIVE is a data collection operation under the NSA's Special Source Operations Division that, in this instance, intercepted a fiber-optic cable to gather data.
