On June 6, 2025, the ACLU, RFK Human Rights, and a coalition of other human rights organizations submitted a communication on mass deportations to the United Nations Working Group Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances, the U.N. Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Racism, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Torture the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Truth, Justice and Reparation. Specifically, the letter submits information regarding enforced disappearances and arbitrary detentions committed by the U.S. government, including by abducting civilians across the country, imprisoning them in detention centers in the U.S. and abroad without due process, limiting access to counsel, or withholding the location of the disappeared.
