Plans to build a mosque in Harford County, Maryland have drawn condemnation from local residents. On social media, some have expressed anger and fear about the proposed mosque, while others have threatened to destroy the house of worship. A proposed Islamic community center has filed a discrimination lawsuit in federal court against Teaneck and its zoning board, claiming the township blocked its application by imposing oppressive requirements and draining the developer's pockets. Opponents of a proposed mosque circulated a flyer calling for "No Jihad in Fredericksburg" and warning that there is "no way of knowing how many ISIS agents will be hiding" among refugees. The prior month, opponents interrupted a public presentation about the proposal with "bigoted rants," shouting at the speaker and saying all Muslims are terrorists. A sheriff's deputy broke up the meeting.
