ACLU Joins Coalition in Commenting on SBA Proposed Rule Denying COVID-19 Loan Relief Based on Arrests and Convictions

On Friday, May 15, 2020, the ACLU joined coalition partners to offer comments on the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) recently released Interim Final Rule for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Business Loan Program. The ACLU urged the SBA to reconsider those provisions of the Rule that discriminate against individuals who have a record of arrest or conviction.
