Sign-On Comments Opposing CBP Proposal to Collect Chinese Vistors' Social Media Identifiers

The ACLU and a diverse group of civil rights, civil liberties, and community organizations submitted these comments in response to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) proposal to collect social media identifiers of Chinese visa holders. The comments demand that CBP withdraw the proposal, which we believe would lead to increased profiling based on race and national origin, erode Internet freedom and individual privacy, and would be an ineffective use of CBP resources.
