ACLU Letter to DOJ-OIG Regarding Review of FBI's Policy Restricting Interactions with CAIR

Available for download is a letter from the ACLU to the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General (OIG) expressing concern about a review conducted of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s compliance with its policy restricting non-investigative contacts with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). The OIG did not evaluate the propriety of the policy itself, which infringes on CAIR’s First and Fifth Amendment rights.
