LITTLE ROCK – Ahead of a general election that is already seeing record-breaking turnout, the ACLU of Arkansas is redoubling its efforts to make sure voters know their voting rights – regardless of which candidates they support, or whether they plan to vote absentee by mail, early in-person, or on Election Day.

The ACLU’s voter information hub – – contains comprehensive voting rights information, election deadlines, and frequently asked questions – from how to vote absentee by mail to what to do if people experience intimidation at the polls. The ACLU of Arkansas is also running digital ads to raise awareness about the Election Protection Hotline – 1-866-OUR-VOTE – and encourage voters to vote early.

“During a pandemic that’s resulted in many changes to election processes, we want to make sure every Arkansas voter – regardless of party – has the information they need to vote safely and securely in this historic election, and to support them if they encounter any problems,” said Holly Dickson, executive director of the ACLU of Arkansas. “Across the country, voters are turning out in record-breaking numbers. Every vote matters, so we’re encouraging all Arkansas voters to know their rights and vote as early as possible to make their voices heard. We want Arkansans to know that regardless of who they plan to vote for, they have a right to make their voice heard and they should call the Election Protection Hotline at 1-866-OUR-VOTE if they have problems voting.”

The ACLU has long been at the forefront of efforts to combat voter suppression and protect the right to vote. This year alone, the ACLU nationally has won 27 victories in 20 states and Puerto Rico that will safeguard the voting rights of millions of Americans this November. Together, these states are home to more than 154 million Americans and wield 247 votes in the Electoral College.
