ACLU Sues Police for Seizing Man’s Phone After Recording Alleged Misconduct (wired.com)
The ACLU of the National Capitol Area is suing two DC police officers who unlawfully seized the camera-phone of a man who had photographed them engaged in misconduct, in violation of his First and Fourth Amendment rights, and department policies. The DC police department’s suspicious activity reporting program identifies the use of cameras as a reportable suspicious activity.
