On May 30, 2008 a Federal Protective Service officer engaged in undercover surveillance of a peaceful anti-pesticide rally in Eugene, Oregon, located several blocks from any federal building. The FPS officer called Eugene Police Department officers to the scene and pointed to an individual who EPD immediately arrested.
