NYCLU Responds to Trump Threat to Cut Funds to New York City
NEW YORK – This evening President Trump ordered a review of federal funds that could be redirected from New York City. The following statement is attributable to NYCLU Executive Director Donna Lieberman:
“Trump’s move to ‘defund’ New York City is an illegal stunt designed to sow chaos and threaten our democracy. New Yorkers won’t tolerate political grandstanding driven by racism and fear-mongering.”
