March with the ACLU at SF Pride!

SHARE THIS:

This year the ACLU of Northern California is excited to be the Community Organization Grand Marshal at SF Pride. Will you march with us on Sunday, June 24th?

The ACLU has been fighting for equality for LGBT people for decades. The ACLU stepped in when police were raiding gay bars in the 1950s and 60s. We helped stop the Briggs Initiative, a measure to ban gay people from teaching in California public schools. We stopped attempts to quarantine people with AIDS in the 80s.

And on June 5, another federal judge ruled that the so-called federal Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional, in an ACLU case in New York brought by Edie Windsor after the death of her spouse and partner of 44 years.

Will you join us as we march to celebrate our victories so far (and the ones still to come)?

RSVP below, and we will email the location and other details to you.
