The ACLU of Pennsylvania is suing the Philadelphia Police Department for wrongfully arresting a photojournalism student for recording police officers in the course of duty, and expects to file at least two additional suits in the near future. The right to record police officers is protected under the First Amendment, and is essential to law enforcement accountability.
