ACLU STAND Magazine Summer 2018 Issue

Document Date: July 27, 2018

STAND magazine is a biannual publication for ACLU members and supporters. The summer 2018 issue includes a cover story on the activists powering the ACLU’s grassroots advocacy platform, People Power, as well as a feature on the ACLU’s fight for Jane Doe, a young, immigrant woman who faced a battle with the government over ending an unwanted pregnancy.

The magazine also features a story about the ACLU’s work on the 2018 midterm elections; a special report on the power of district attorneys; a Q&A with trans youth activist James van Kuilenberg; and an opinion piece by ACLU attorney Nathan Freed Wessler, who recently won a critical digital privacy case at the Supreme Court.

Every month, you'll receive regular roundups of the most important civil rights and civil liberties developments. Remember: a well-informed citizenry is the best defense against tyranny.
