Gavin Grimm is a 16-year-old boy who is transgender. He has had to face the humiliation of being barred from using the boys' restroom. Gavin’s school board voted that he has to use a separate single-stall restroom rather than the boys' restroom where he belongs. Today, a federal appeals court heard his ongoing challenge of the school's policy. This is the first time a federal appeals court has weighed in on this issue.
