ACLU on C-Span Tomorrow
Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. EST, Christopher Anders, Senior Legislative Counsel for the ACLU's Washington Legislative Office, will be on C-SPAN talking about the Close Gitmo campaign. So no sleeping in tomorrow! Grab a cup of joe and settle in to learn the info behind what the ACLU is striving to make President-elect Obama's highest priority on Day One. (If you must sleep in, at least set your Tivo.) And we know after watching Chris, you'll be all fired up to act. So watch TV, and then sign the petition asking President-elect Obama to close Guantanamo, stop military commissions, and end torture. A stroke of his executive pen is all we need to get this done.

That means we cannot host comments on our site that show a preference for one candidate or party. Although we in no way wish to discourage you from that activity elsewhere, we ask that you not engage in that activity on our website (or include links to other websites that do so). Closing Gitmo means nothing of significance. I am sorry but the is no value to this when he can open another location somewhere else. It must be delt with at it's source. The illegal bills and laws must be recended. The patriot act and many of the other gross assults on our constitutional rights must be removed immediatly. Till that is done without hidden laws and bills to take there place or hidden in other fluff bills this man has no credibility. Change means nothing if you only say the word without any actual action. He is just another buch figure head, a pretty face to fool the sheeple.
