Habeas Sighting: Seattle, WA
Looks like we’re not the only ones on the lookout for Habeas! We knew that, of course, but it’s still good to hear.
This email just came from a 19-year-old man working in Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle:
Hey. So, Seattle can be a weird town and it looks really weird when you wake up every day at 3:00 a.m. to work at the fish market. But this morning Frank and me were unloading crates of whitefish and salmon when I saw this little dude standing by the lobster tank. He was just staring in at them, with one hand pressed up on the glass. I figured maybe he was hungry, so I threw him one of my salmon. I called out “Hey, little dude!†and then I tossed it over. I wasn’t sure he heard me, but then he turned around and caught it like a pro. It was actually a pretty good catch for a little dude. He shouted “Thank you, my friend!†But when I looked away for a second he was totally gone. Haven’t seen him since, but thought you’d want to know. He looked a lot like your Habeas guy. -- Justin, Bay Watch Fish, Seattle, WAHave you seen Habeas? E-mail your tips to aclu@aclu.org.
