Summary
The American Civil Liberties Union, Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP and Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP filed the lawsuit in federal court.
Update: On January 6, 2023, the Federal District Court of Maryland ruled in favor of our client, Jesse Hammons, and granted our Motion for Summary Judgment. The Court determined that the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center violated the Affordable Care Act when it barred Jesse Hammons from receiving gender-affirming care at the hospital.
