The ACLU sent this vote recommendation in advance of the House’s consideration of H.R. 5485, the FY 2017 Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, urging Representatives to vote NO on an amendment from Rep. Palmer. The amendment was proposed to block the District of Columbia from carrying out the Reproductive Health Non-Discrimination Act (RHNDA), a local law that protects employees who work in D.C. from workplace discrimination based on their personal reproductive health care decisions.
