Coalition Response to Hudson Institute Request for Additional Recommendations re: First Step Act Implementation

The ACLU joined a coalition response to the Hudson Institute’s request for additional recommendations on the implementation of The First Step Act’s risk and needs assessment implementation. The letter makes several recommendations to the Hudson Institute on the way in which The First Step Act’s risk and needs assessment should be developed and reiterates that the assessment should not exacerbate any racial, ethnic or gender bias within the system.
