This is a letter the ACLU signed on to urging the Senate to oppose S. 605, S. 409 and S. 839. These three bills would expand the application of existing Schedule I penalties and mandatory minimum sentences to include synthetic substances. The letter also expresses support for Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-KY) opposition to the bills.
