ACLU and Partners Continue Pushing for BOP Release of Most Vulnerable Populations during COVID-19 Relief Package Negotiations

On July 31, 2020, the ACLU joined coalition partners in urging the Congress to include the Emergency Community Supervision Act in the next COVID relief package currently being negotiated by Congress. The ECSA would require BOP to release to home confinement those populations most vulnerable to COVID-19 – those who are pregnant, age 50 and older, or with underlying health conditions.
