ACLU Opposes H.R. 2152, the “Citizens’ Right to Know Act of 2017,” legislation requiring selective reporting around pretrial services programs and participants, in advance of U.S. House of Representatives vote

In advance of a May 9, 2018, vote in the U.S. House of Representatives, the ACLU wrote Members of Congress expressing opposition to the Citizens’ Right to Know Act of 2017, legislation that is inconsistent with efforts to reform money bail systems and advance data collection that respects privacy interests.
