The ACLU sent this recommendation on amendment 69 to H.R. 2500, the National Defense Authorization Act. The ACLU urged members to vote yes on amendment no. 69, an amendment expanding fair chance hiring practices to the federal government and federal government contractors by requiring that questions about a person’s criminal history are only asked after conditional offers of employment are given to applicants.
