The ACLU joined a coalition letter expressing concern over the Temporary Reauthorization and Study of the Emergency Scheduling of Fentanyl Analogues Act, S. 3201. The bill temporarily extends the Drug Enforcement Administration’s “class-wide” emergency scheduling of fentanyl-related substances, exposing more people to harsh mandatory minimum sentences.
