Equality Now
Equality Now is an international human rights organization dedicated to the civil, political, economic and social rights of girls and women. Some of the issues they work on are rape, trafficking, domestic violence, female infanticide, sexual harassment and genital mutilation. They take action through letter-writing and fax campaigns, video witnessing and media events.
Feminist.com
Feminist.com, launched in 1995, is a grassroots, interactive that aims to facilitate information-sharing among women and encourage mobilization around political issues. It also promotes women's business development, supports women-friendly organizations, expands civic participation and encourages women's self-sufficiency.
The Feminist Majority Online
The Feminist Majority website includes their publications, such as newsletters and special reports. There are also links to other women's issues sites, such as: Breast Cancer Center, Global Feminism, National Center for Women and Policing and Feminist Research Center. There are also numerous Take Action! opportunities, several listings of hotlines, and a daily Feminist News section.
Making Face, Making Soul
This site is by, for, and about Chicanas (women of Mexican descent in the United States.) It contains a variety of resources ranging from short biographies of Chicanas, to Chicana poetry and literature, cultural resources and academic resources. Making Face, Making Soul defines Chicana feminism as a critical framework that looks at inequalities along lines of race, class, gender, and sexuality.
National Women's Hall of Fame
Created in 1969, the NWHF¹s mission is to honor women whose contributions to the arts, athletics, business, education, government, the humanities, philanthropy and science have been the greatest value for the development of their country. Crystal Eastman, one of the founders of the ACLU, was inducted in 2000. It includes a link to the Women's Rights National Park.
National Organization for Women
NOW's website contains a comprehensive array of information about the organization, including online versions of their print publication, NOW Times. Sections on the site include NOW Political Action Committee, Young Feminists and Global Sisters.
Third Wave Foundation
Third Wave is a national organization created by and for young women between the ages of 15 and 30. The organization informs and financially supports young women around the country and the projects that serve them by sharing information and resources, thereby creating a community in which members can coalesce, network, strategize, and ultimately take action.
