TODAY: NYCLU, LSCNY to Announce Lawsuit on behalf of Children Pushed to Suicide in Solitary in Upstate New York
During a teleconference at 2 p.m. today, the New York Civil Liberties Union and Legal Services of Central New York will announce a new lawsuit in response to horrifying reports from children who faced life-threatening conditions in solitary confinement in upstate New York.
Children who were abused in solitary and their parents will give damning, powerful testimony about their harrowing experiences during the teleconference, demonstrating that solitary confinement is unacceptably dangerous for children.
