In this July 27, 2017 letter, the ACLU urged Senators to oppose health care legislation that would repeal key provisions of the Affordable Care Act, harm people with disabilities by cutting and capping Medicaid, deny women and men access to Planned Parenthood, restrict abortion coverage, and deprive millions of people of the health care coverage. The letter addressed all major legislative proposals under consideration in the Senate that appear to violate these principles, including the Obamacare Repeal Reconciliation Act and the Better Care Reconciliation Act.
