The ACLU joined coalition partners in this letter in opposition to H.R. 4712, prior to a vote on the bill on Jan. 19. The legislation is the latest in a long line of actions seeking to curtail access to safe, legal abortion care and improperly insert politics into the relationship between patients and their health care providers.
