Emily Dindial is an advocacy and policy counsel in the National Political Advocacy Department. She works to reform laws and policies that criminalize poverty. Prior to joining the ACLU, Emily was a policy analyst at the Innocence Project where she worked on legislative and policy initiatives to prevent wrongful convictions. She has also worked at the Legal Aid Society where she assisted with Article 78 petitions on behalf of people incarcerated on Rikers Island. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
