Coalition Letter on Press Freedom and Net Neutrality

More than 30 organizations that advocate for press freedom, journalism, free expression and open government signed this letter in opposition to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s planned repeal of open-internet rules. These rules, issued in 2015, were a tremendous victory for free speech and freedom of the press. Repealing them would give broadband providers tremendous power and have a chilling effect on people’s rights and ability to access, report, and share information free of gatekeeper control.
